Has anyone else noticed Jagganoth and Jadis both refer to time as a prison?
Zoss is outside of it, Metatron, too.
Exiting time might be the only way to redirect Cio, though Janis could do that easily enough.
Where they always allies?
What does omnicide have to do with breaking time?
How does this all tie back to the one true enemy, or the demon king that bears its name?
I don’t think Jagganoth’s Kill All Gods run has too much to do with breaking time itself. If your timer runs out you reset your timekeeper, you don’t slice it in half. He and Jadis may exist within it’s constraint willingly, for all we know.
They’re certainly imprisoned by something. Jagganoth is imprisoned by their cycle and wishes to destroy it, and Jadis is imprisoned by their perception of the cycle as unmutable. I’m not sure it’s time itself, per se, but if it was then Jagganoth would not be destroying time, but the thing keeping it stuck.
We know that Jadis sincerely wants to die. It may be that Jagganoth is the only one who can bring that about. It would make sense for them to be allies.
The time has come,’ the Walrus said,
To talk of many things:
Of shoes — and ships — and sealing-wax —
Of cabbages — and kings —
And why the sea is boiling hot —
And whether pigs have wings.’
Well, Abbadon is either referring to an early name for black holes or they’re referring to a Star Wars criminal organization. I seriously doubt it’s a Star Wars reference
Tis an alchemic reference:
The body must be dissolved in the subtlest middle air: The body is also dissolved by its own heat and humidity; where the soul, the middle nature holds the principality in the colour of blackness all in the glass: which blackness of Nature the ancient Philosophers called the crows head, or the black sun.
— Marsilius Ficinus, “Liber de Arte Chemica”
Oddly, the thing that concerns me the most is the entire lack of alt text on this page. Even during the conclusion to the prior arc and the beginning of this one there was an ellipsis.
It’s because of the two pages. They’re actually two images but only the first (top) image has the alt text: “The Gate. The Path. The Light. The Door. The Candle burning on the floor”
I wonder if she’s still having breakfast brought up.
I can’t quite tell if being able to reset time, or go back in time would have any effect on it.
I mean, what do you really gain by going back in time? You pretty much know whats going to happen and how you acted originally… Except, Jadis already has knowledge of everything thats going to happen and how she’s going to act but can’t change anything.
The only thing I keep thinking is that apparently only Metatron and 6 Juggernaut Star Scours the Universe know the true nature of Zoss’ power and dominion… which suggests it might be something Jadis doesn’t know. Jadis is said to know more than anyone, but that doesn’t necessarily mean someone can’t know something she doesn’t.
The greatest things I note of Zoss is his advice to Allison to relinquish delusions of control and not cling to victory, followed by the note that he clung to victory and in the end, couldn’t fight alone.
Maybe it is just me, but I expect that in the following seconds a (perhaps metaphorical) throne will be offered to Allison – one that neither Aesma nor Jadis were fit to accept. If that happens, I wonder if she remembers the deal with the old devil, HIMSELF, who is unbound by reality.

Find out next time on Dragon Ball Z!
Who’s gonna pick up the shards of Cio’s mask again……?
The wheel of time: samsara.
The escape: nirvana.

Time to see if Abbadon can write Allison out of the nihilistic fatalism hole in a satisfying way. (And by satisfying I mean returns hope to the story)
despair is the essence of hope.
Ah yes, the legendary S U C C
Twpthhtwprhh twpthhh
Is this the real life…is this just fantasy?
Caught in a landslide,
No escape from reality.
Easy come, easy go
I see England, I see France, I see the WHOLE FUCKING COSMOS OH SHIT!

Well.
Here’s hoping Allison can pull a Aesma, and be too ignorant to comprehend and thus be wounded mentally by the whole shape of the Wheel.
or perhaps Allison will surpass Aesma, the pain only flaying away her ignorance to leave the knowledge to empower her
We are about to be revealed the giant basket ball. We are about to see the true story unfold. Prepare yourselves.
The only way to see the whole picture is to step outside the frame
Is it…an everything bagel?
The Bleeding Sun Rises!
Weep, when even the stars themselves cry!
I never thought that the true villain of this chapter would be an ennui-powered Jadis, but here we are.
If you know you won’t die for another 35+ years then be not afraid of death.
Nᴏʟɪ ᴛɪᴍᴇʀᴇ ᴍᴇssᴏʀᴇᴍ.
Is Allison getting Tetsuoed?
Woah what do you mean the “black” sun bro

The opening of the machine and Alison’s off balance perspective was magnificently drawn over the last few panels.

Total Perspective Vortex engaged, sanity havers beware

I’m hoping for a Zaphod moment. C’mon.
I begin to wonder if Alison is the only heir to make it this far!
I hope for a sudden apperance of Incubus shard or Zoss’ ghost! To make contradictionary comments on Jadis thinkings.
Take that, James Webb Telescope.

Oh no, Jadis put everything on her bagel.
