Split somewhat like a particle/anti-particle pair. Therefore probably short-lived. If the sad-Jadis half would just go fall into a black hole (Solomon has one handy), then the happy-Jadis part could survive longer.
BTW: could the dark and light flames mentioned in the prophecy refer to the two parts of Jadis rather than Cio and White Chain?
I think the sad-Jadis is the one that knows…anything at all. Information will be lost across that event horizon.

if (1) her prophecies are quite literally omnipotent and (2) all narrators are unreliable narrators, then it must follow that (3) god is a consumate liar.
Is… Jadis just not very good at making a “friendly, harmless, I’m-on-your-side-so-come-with-me” smile/ facial expression? She seemed, based on the following chapter, to at least be genuinely attempting to help Allison (for all Jadis’s view on what constitutes “helping”- given her views on existence, are, as many have debated, not in line with Allison’s- is… not perfect); is she just so removed from human interaction that she had to more-or-less go “OK… make a pleasant, innocuous facial expression… it’ll be fine… yes! That’s it! Now to appear from the ground”?
