I think there might be a difference between flashy combat with moves designed to physically destroy his opponents mortal shells, and multiversal anihilation. The former is what we’re probably seeing here, the latter might require extended concentration, or some kind of ritual powered by the key to render everything that is, into being not.
Aspected Chaos is somewhat distracted, so is it not time for the island to fall back to earth? It’s not actually _in_ orbit, just at orbital height, so it needs holding up. Like when Mottom took a hit to the ego and her palace started to fall.
I sort of want the island to fall back on the city, just to underline how the god-powers are unacceptably dangerous even when wielded by a just person. Which is a shitty thing to wish for, I know.
42 Fragments the Universe Beyond All Reintegration
FWIW: the island, at a guesstimated 400m long, is bigger than the meteoroid that caused the Tunguska event on RL Earth. It’s possible effect is intermediate between a large nuclear weapon and a dinosaur killer.
My guess is that island is not going to last much longer. I am honestly surprised it didn’t just get obliterated in that first attack with all the main characters standing around on nothing like an episode of Dragonball
At least as you say it’s not actually orbiting (and still in the outskirts of atmosphere / ionosphere by the looks), so wouldn’t have the velocity of an ISS at 17k mph, or a tunguska meteoroid at maybe double that, or a.n.other asteroid at anything up to probably a couple of hundred thousand mph in this system, just what it could garner from a few hundred miles falling back to Rayuba (even if we don’t know how big Rayuba is nor how thick its atmosphere). Still, a 100,000 tonne lump travelling at perhaps 6000mph(?) when it hit would indeed flatten a not inconsiderable area.
Solomon one is sure doesn’t think about his suns all the time, but then he placed them in a somewhat stable config then let them get on with it, whereas Aspected Chaos could have raised the arena a bit higher and given it an almighty shove in order to be able to forget about lying to the universe to keep it there.
But Solomon is certainly distracted at the moment, as sunny Rayuba looks quite an overcast and dreich planet without his considered influence, despite the 2 suns. Or maybe even because of them.
It’s not too uncommon to get views of earth like that from the ISS, where 100% of what you can see on the surface is cloud covered. How …. recent events might affect cloud cover in the moment is unclear.
42 Fragments the Universe Beyond All Reintegration
Headcanon: Rayuba is basically empty of people, except for the capital city and some surrounding villages, and maybe a couple of industrial places near the capital (but far enough away that the ruling class don’t have to look at them). The rest is wilderness, with a few ruins (and, of those, all the impressive bits were stolen in the War).
Therefore, Solomon maintains good weather over the city, which is equatorial, and lets the rest of the planet make its own weather. When he’s distracted, weather in the capital becomes normal for equatorial rain-forest. Currently, we’re seeing the clouds pushed back by the shockwave from DOOM! and the rain is fiery rather than wet.
With all the demons, angels, and general myticism….i’m most surprised to see actual space. A proper, science-abiding solar system, even if it is a binary system. Makes me wonder if Gog Agog would invest in worm-satellites for global broadcast if she could manage it.
I feel bad for Mammon. He just wanted to stay home and count his treasure like any introvert would, but his friend S-Diddy dragged him to a party instead and now Chad-Jaggonoth got drunk and started a fight.
Ah, so you’re currently off the planet, so I don’t have to worry about hitting said planet with a good long-spool weapon like a wave motion gun, reflex cannon, and/or or mega-particle beam cannon. Hell, maybe even hitting Jaggonoth with an MD device or a stream of railcannon slugs…
12 Wandering star whose trail ignites the pyres of tyrants
And to think we have yet to see the rest in full force. Solomon can exert all his power with no one to get destroyed in the backblast. Gog Agog has yet to do anything, and while incubus is short a sword, once he gets his hands on one we will see the full breath of that most loathed art.
very interesting post. This is my first time visit here. I found so many interesting stuff in your blog especially its discussion. Thanks for the post!
Great job for publishing such a beneficial web site. Your web log isn’t only useful but it is additionally really creative too. There tend to be not many people who can certainly write not so simple posts that artistically. Continue the nice writing

As impressive as this display is, I do now see how this could even come close to breaking this planet, let alone the this universe, or the wheel.
There is more happening here than just this fight.

No matter how powerful are your enemy you have to survive, even if it is only to spite him Alliss-Un
Remember how Mammon’s whole thing was ‘being too big to kill?’
First panel made me think “Kerbal Six Billion Demons”
For sure the weird floating crosses and promises of world ending also reminded me of some End of Evangelion
Where is David in all this?
Presumably, something had to hit the ground to cause the shockwave in the previous page.
Wait, never mind, the waves were shocking before he even swung. I’m totally wrong.
On the one hand, Incubus is a wildly poor swordsman in that he thinks he NEEDS a sword in the first place.
On the other, I want to see him just casually yoink a sword from Mammon’s neck and take a shot.
Ahh the everlasting struggle of wanting action and plot and rarely getting both at the same time.
Allison not feeling so much like a triple threat just now.
Am I alone have feeling that it’s not even Jagganoth final form?

okay but what if… inky boy gets one of jagganoth’s big swords?

Abbadon boutta fake us all out fo sho… just watch the bad guys actually win after 4 books lol

Things are indeed amping up, yes.
I just realized something.
Because Aspected Chaos raised the arena and the gods are fighting openly, they are *literally* Reaching Heaven Through Violence.
