Ffff. If you’re implying that the patch of his jacket was foreshadowing the shape of his death wound, that’s an incredible detail and probably a coincidence but also would be incredible if it wasn’t an accident.
There are a great many tools in this world whose efficacy will only become apparent when you use them in a way you really, REALLY should NOT use a sword.
I like how it’s in his scarless, buff hottest form that Incubus pulls his most vile shit.
There’s a really cool recurring motif of battle damage symbolising knowledge and wisdom gained through experience and Incubus being totally unblemished shows that in countless centuries of life he’s learned nothing at all
Your analysis is intriguing and cool. Especially since the main antagonist is so scarred himself. Jagganoth might be out to destroy the world, but he wants to do so after countless years of fighting he saw what he believed was “the truth behind it all” and he now thinks that no world like this should exist. He is kind of mournful about it, but also philosophical. Meanwhile Incubus is completely desinterested in the wellbeing of others and just does what he thinks will make him come out on top.
Again, I am very much inspired by your analysis of his design.
“I mean, crap, man! Look at that. That’s, like, his stomach plug, on the ground back there. You don’t see that every day. I mean, that doesn’t really even seem possible if you think about it, with body organs and cartilage and bones, and — I mean, I’m no doctor, but it was like one clean chunk.”
I just want you to know I made the same joke a couple pages later into the comments, unaware that you did it first. I see you king, you’re cool as fuck.
Yall, go check out the last frame of page 1 of this entire comic. See anything familiar?
There’s a snake (aka worm?) in the circle of Zaid’s jacket.
So…we’re getting Zombie Jesus (Zaid) by way of Gog-Agog?

Incubus knows not what he’s done.
Maya’s apprentice
A master of the blade
Nyave’s love
Allison’s former paramour
The King in waiting.
Alison, you forgot to protect the rat…
Too busy getting air-comboed like a scrub.
From the first panel, I didn’t think this would turn out well, but it did.
I’m so confused right now now. who is this Meganun?
#000001, first priest of the count of mammon
The Quest, the prize,
the best (that guy’s
got a Broadsword)
I’m sure he’ll be fine
It would appear that being an exceptionally poor swordsman does not preclude one from being skilled with other tools.
There are a great many tools in this world whose efficacy will only become apparent when you use them in a way you really, REALLY should NOT use a sword.
Oh well. Anyway.
SHOT THRU THE HEART
As Piccolo can tell you, a hole through your chest like that is not something you can walk off.
… A SENZU BEAN!!
Alison shall learn a painful lesson today: The Key to protecting the rat is to destroy the one who seeks its death.
Incubus, too, will learn a painful lesson: Fuck around and find out.
Tis but a flesh wou-
ouch
“You see, Allison, I was never homophobic… I’m just an asshole!”

I think that was an art error. Or at least, he’s not scarless on this page now, or on the subsequent pages
Back when Gog was “interviewing” Alison, she explicitly warned us this would happen.
Remember this line: “I’ll be straight with you. Usually, you get killed off in the 3rd act to motivate our main guy.”
In THIS timeline, Alison is the “main guy”. Zaid is the one who gets killed in the 3rd act to motivate her.
Like a slab of meat.
He is a terrible swordsman after all
