BREAKER OF INFINITIES 4-180
Chapter: 4
“When it comes to so-called ‘immortals’, do not fear them. Those that call themselves by such a title have purged themselves of the most useful and primal their brain, the parts that remember the cold fear, the old night, the teeth in the dark. The swordsman should be a great friend to fear and pain, so when they inevitably find him, he will not collapse at their remembrance, like a pathetic mewling thing, as I have seen these majestic godlings do.”
-Ryo-ten-Ryam
Welcome back, Abbadon, hope you enjoyed your Christmas break 🙂
“It is better to stand on one leg, than to bow with two.”

The Last King
bah! arms are for wimps you use teeth!
Corpses plural?
Does that include Zoss then?
one would think standing barefoot on lava would be inadvisable. however royalty seems to largely be immune to the concept of what one might think
welcome back, abbadon. i hope your ttrpg’s will get quite popular, now that wotc is doing some dumb shit-that way something good will come of it, at the very least.
gods dam-it ! how do i cancel an cummant?
Zaid must have good sandals though.
I often feel as though Allison at least is immune to the concept of “thinking”…

Maybe she was a bit overeager in ripping out all the useful prosthetics. She made a great point but looking back? Perhaps not the wisest move.
True. Though she appears to have excellent balance, standing on a field of molten stone, at the edge of a precipice and in a hard wind (judging by her hair) no less. Perhaps those right arm and leg were just holding her back? 😉
I’m so ready for the Girlboss Allison arc
YO THIS BRINGS MEMORY FROM THAT GAME, CALLED SUBMACHINE!
MAIN GUY MURTAUGH LOST HIS ARM, BUT STILL HAD HIS ‘KARMA ARM’, SOMETHING HE DIDN’T GET TO FEEL UNTIL HE LOST HIS ORIGINAL LIMB!
GLORY TO THE NEW FLESH!
So good to see a fellow submachinist in such a far off layer.
lovely update, they’ll get cooler robotics soon I hope. Ones that look worthless but will fight good with.
Ryo-ten-Ryam is observant
Truly, the words of Ryo-ten-Ryam comport well with the ancient instruction of students in the art of getting punched in the face. “The first time is no fun. Actually it never gets to be fun, but you learn not to mind so much. Also, you should have blocked that.”
Something I think about a lot is when Alison got help from the king of the heretic court (if I’m remembering names clearly) and they asked her not to forget them. Do y’all think we are going to get to see them free from the cage before it is over?
go alison go!
she is so cool and i love her drive and determination
She knows the way.
Even though Allison is in a weakened state compared to her buffed up prime, I get the feeling that her physical weakness may ironically lead to her becoming even more powerful in the end as she no longer relies on her limited physical body and focuses instead on wielding the key’s unlimited power.
Again with the overkill. You COULD just politely thank Jadis for her assistance and walk out the front door, but no, you feel the need to beat up her servants and blow a fucking hole in the wall. You could have been the bigger man here, but no you just need to show off what an incredibly badass you are.
Allison this is NOT the way you get yourself invited back for tea- someone needs a refresher on how to act in high society 😛
Yeah, I… don’t get exactly why Allison’s default position is “I reject you! So I hate you! So I immediately violently act against you!”. These poor lackeys didn’t really deserve annihilation. Plus, irrespective of her motive (if any? Probably it was just “that’s what she did, so she did it”), Jadis gave Allison hospitality. That ought to count for… something? Probably?
She always overreacts so much!
Reaching Heaven Through Violence is the motto of this comic. Violence meaning self actualization – therefore, forming your own ideals on what life is supposed to be plays a huge part on reaching Royalty.
Why would she thank Jadis when all she did was gaslight her into endless self pity? From the very beginning Zoss has informed her that she must slay the Seven Headed Beast (the Demiurges) in order to achieve her goal.
Maya herself has said ‘If you ever met God on the road, kill him!”. A throwback to buddhism ideals that self actualization and, well, enlightenment; must come from inside. Jadis is nothing more than a decrepit pebble in her not-so-metaphoric road to Royalty. Cast aside your owes and subside yourself to the Blade of Want.
This isn’t really violence though- those priests were certainly no challenge and what purpose does blowing up the side of a building serve?
Also, we’ve established that Zoss himself, with all his power and all his dreadful arts, couldn’t achieve absolute victory.
Violence may be the road, but I don’t see it as the destination.
Allison even directly acknowledged, during the removal of her prosthetics, that Jadis was genuinely doing what she thought was right to help. Or… acting out “doing what she thought was right to help” because that’s what the script says, and Jadis always does what the script says, because she can’t do anything BUT do what the script says, but the point stands. In light of which, this conspicuous “fuck you, I’m blowing holes in your uninformed goons AND your temple” approach- if not uncharacteristic of Allison- shows rather a want of generosity of spirit. To be fair, her completely detached “viewing” of Jadis’s abuse-filled and evidently massively damaging younger years didn’t endear Allison much to me either.
Key generated prosthetics when
Cue the “Future Starts Slow” by The Kills.
That a missing right eye, arm and leg barely inconvenience her should be a warning to the other demiurges: All of you are even less than this.
Technique: wall explodes because I tell it that it should be exploded and it believes me.
Lost your dominant arm? I guess your subservient arm is finally free of its rein.
Of course. Why teleport away when you can just explode a molten gash through the wall?
Why go around when you can just go through?
Welcome back Abbadon. Have missed you!!!
She’s going to be as busy as, well, a one-legged woman in an ass-kicking contest.
Come for the comic, stay for the comments
“So it goes,” indeed.
The wisdom of the Tralfamadorians is still as profound as when Preem Vonnegut first relayed it to us.
