“Curse you Alison!” says the big immensely strong green girl, muscles moving under smooth scaly skin as she slams the nonplused Alison against a wall. Fully a foot taller or more than Alison immensely strong, her lambent yellow eyes alight with insane fury “You gonna help save the world or I is gonna slit your throat an’; hang you up to bleed out!”
“Life and death are the same to me, mysterious cryptid, uh, girl” replies Allison
“oh yeah?’ the amphibian girl whispers “Well, whether or not that bullshit is true, let me tell you death an dyin’ aint at all the same thing” She puts he old officer’s short sword, relic of bitter cruel war between Amphy’s seafolk and the humans millions of years beyond the memory of human history
“After I rose through the ranks of th’ infantry I ended up in th’ Second Main Directorate, our military intelligence service. Cowardly lil’ girlI leaned advanced interrogation techniques! I kin make you live for a long long time! In th’ army of Dagon we whipped cowards an traitors to death on the triangle. What do you think I’ll do to someone who refuses to help save billions of lives?”
Eyes blazing with hatred and insane anger, Amphy advances on Alison, testing the edge of her old officer’s short sword
“Think fast!” she hisses, yellow eyes blazing. “Your life choices in extremely important right now!
I also don’t get the point of running around to a field of flowers to chase away the pain. Pain means you need a doctor appointment, not to hide away.
Not only the sick ones need to have some real care! 🙂
People will die, and die for her, of their own accord. The only way she can stop that from happening is to be involved. But yeah, probably more of the latter.
I don’t mean to be a dick, but I’m starting to read this now and killsixbilliondemons.com takes you to the last page of the comic? What the actual fuck?
I think it always did that. And that most webcomics do that. Always seems weird to me, but I don’t usually visit the homepage after the first visit. I start from the beginning, and bookmark the last page I read. But apparently some people regularly visit the homepage to see if an update has occurred… and if there are multiple that they’ve missed, they have to page back through until they get to where they were.
I’ve been thinking, these two were from a completely uncontacted Earth, either that or a forgotten Earth. They were supposedly under the Witch’s domain but she hadn’t managed to reach their planet yet, so just how much of the cosmos do the Demiurges actually control?
And were there any Earths that managed to become an interplanetary or interstellar civilization before the rest of the multiverse contacted them?
Probably. Sadly the king’s road, main means of interplanar travel, isn’t kind to complicated machines. Can’t fly a starship very far through the void before it breaks down.
42 Fragments the Universe Beyond All Reintegration
We don’t know that Allison’s Earth actually has a huge, explorable universe. In that world, it may all be back-projected on a crystal sphere a few AU out.
Timewise, the mortals seem to have been moved to the worlds of the Wheel ~30 Kalpas before the start of the comic. Whatever a Kalpa means here. If it’s like the Hindu Kalpa IRL, that’s a mind-boggling length of time for Humans to expand and explore. If there’s something to find they’re all over it.
Regarding control, you have to be able to get to a world to control it. Jagganoth, were he to get free, can ride the lightning to Allison’s world. Allison can go there because she has the master key. Metatron could presumably go there, but he doesn’t get out much these days. Nobody else can get in. Jagganoth getting free from Solomon’s trap is massive and world-ending for Earth.
scared myself pretty good. I refreshed the page and got a “This website does not exist” and I thought Abaddon ended on a Sopranos note and just deleted the whole comic. I wasnt connected to the internet. I need more coffee.
42 Fragments the Universe Beyond All Reintegration
Does anybody else get a “this comic is nearly over” vibe? I know there are a million loose ends, and I know that Abbadon said that there will be a Book 6, but…
I just get an icy feeling that Zaid might now provoke Allison into a sudden, spontaneous act of will, of cutting, that somehow unlocks the doom, defeats the predestination, gives everybody a future … and that’s it. We don’t actually see anything of that future, we just get to know that there is one. Roll credits.
I can only see that you’re either right, or you’re wrong. You being wrong means the story ends now, and the genre becomes obviously a Shoot The Shaggy Dog.
While you sit motionless and apathetic, countless are dying for you. You disrespect their losses. If you don’t want anyone else to die for you, protect who is dying now.
I did a strange Internet search and came upon your page. This is a really good essay. The fact that some people are still exerting significant effort to maintain their websites is heartening.

If Allison did all of the side content, Lucky Felicia would be found here ready to battle.
Luckiest Catgirl Alive!
Somehow this sounds almost like this Zaid might not be from this cycle. Considering he is telling Allison about stuff that she doesn’t remember.
Sometimes I wish that I could stop you from talking
When I hear the silly things that you say
I think somebody better put out the big light
‘Cause I can’t stand to see you this way
Alison, I know this world is killing you
Oh, Alison, my aim is true, my aim is true
Alison, I know this world is killing you
Oh, Alison, my aim is true, my aim is true
– Elvis Costello Alison
She’s about to get possessed by Liquid Snake.
LIQUID!

Never send a Zed to do an Amphy job

Aw, man, think of all the cool stuff we missed. And for what? Breakfast?
it WAS a pretty good breakfast, though!
Is it “I don’t want anyone else to die for me” or, probably more specifically, “I really really don’t wanna WATCH anyone else die for me”?
People will die, and die for her, of their own accord. The only way she can stop that from happening is to be involved. But yeah, probably more of the latter.

There is a grey “first page “ button on the button left.

I hope INGSVALD still lives.
All that trauma and pain, and now Allison has fibromyalgia! Fuck the Wheel and the demiurges that (over)run it.
Al-Yis-Un FINALLY gets to the heart of what’s really bothering her… may this cleansing of the wound allow it to finally heal.

Thanks for it
Vladok agrees to do what Allison wants, if she can beat him in a Drinking Contest and if she’ll wager her Key of Kings on the outcome.
