BREAKER OF INFINITIES 1-8
Chapter: 1
“There are among men who vie for the Crown of the World men who cultivate evil Atum, who break the meridians and suck out the marrow of other men, who participate in blood alchemy and all kinds of dark and malicious alignments.
These men are the most powerful among immortals, but they are not to be envied. They are piteous, broken things that must be destroyed with exceeding force whenever they crawl out of their stinking holes. If one were to sit upon the Great Chariot of the Red City, it would be a most terrible thing indeed.”
– Six Purities Path manuscript, circa 250 S.C.
Why are we suddenly getting spambots?
because we’ve made it
Remember when Abaddon had to manually approve all posts, because the spam was so bad?
The bots just evolve to overcome our defenses.
you know, for all that he’s an awful scumbag who is maybe about to die, incubus has been pretty chill to allison
If Solomon can do telekinesis ( as in moving lots of spectators to safer place at one point in tournament) logically he should try something like that on Jagg here. He has superior abilitythat just punches and not using it. Feels like capability/mechanic was introduced at one point without thinking of new possibilities and consequences.
Ah , yes , someone gonna explain how its not possible because *invented on the spot by you another rule* . Oh well.
Well, all Demiurges are practicioners of the white and red Arts.
They probably could all perform the trick Solomon did, more or less easily, depending on their individual skills.
They also probably all can make themselves highly resistant to telekinesis attempts, so that it’s generally a more efficient idea to try to hurt them from other directions.
If I were Solomon, and if I could relocate Jagganoth, then I’d move him to the void and fight him there.
Likely such an effect can be resisted/interrupted, and leaves the one attending it exposed.
Awww, Incubus, that’s kinda sweet.
Sacrificing a king to save his pawn, in hopes she will become a queen.
An interesting gambit from the king of swords.
The first time Allison actually beholds Incubus not in a dream sequence but in flesh. And he makes sure she immeiately sees the worst. Interesting. (Well, probably not _the_ worst, for his naughty bits are still hidden, yet nevertheless).
His andvice is still pretty good, though.
depends on your definition of naughty bits, I guess
LUB DUB
Doki Doki
“It is fortunate your vassals are dead, for the ensuing battle would surely drive them mad.”
Incubus looks like Allisson older brother-sister combination…
yeah, I was momentarily confused as to who it was, when scrolling down before the rest of the panels came into view.
Don’t wear it out.
Heh. Even though we know Incubus has never been up to any good, he might be actually giving good advice here.
(Also, time to finally see first hand just how powerful/evil he is. Yay!)
Actually, I think Incubus’ advice to Allison has always been honest and good, but only in the context of his warped morality. “Seven habits of highly effective psychopaths” is not very useful if one wants to be a righteous person.
Incubus, bearer of the word WRONG.
Yes and no. Sure he’s been genuinely trying to help Allison get more powerful, the only way he knows (because it worked ‘so well’ for him), but ultimately he’s been manipulating her for his own ends, and he definitely doesn’t have anyone’s best interests at heart other than his own.
“Seven habits of highly effective psychopaths” , written by Incubus.
That made me chuckle. There must be other similar books by same author:
“How to win people trust , ruin their lives and steal their souls ” , “Embracing your inner psycho for most efficient killing sprees” , ” Drinking blood : better diet for healthier lifestyle ” .. there must be more of this , more !
This will be a fight to remember for anyone lucky or unfortunate enough left to do so.
If the last move knocked the Rising King arse over tit, what did it do the less-empowered members of her party? I think she need to consider them when she decides whether to run.
I see Incubus is following suit from Claudius and is affecting more frailty than he truly possesses. I’m kicking myself for even being surprised at that.
imagine your every heardbeat screams Wub-a-lub-a-dub-dub.
For this is the price of The Dream when The Dreamer Awakens.
love the delicate way he holds the sword :<
Jaggy looks so happy, jumping like that!
Did Incubus just heal all the scars he had on his person???
Be it sincere or not in his advise, Incubus is right in wanting an important individual who still has a piece of his soul (the pact they did) inside to be as safe as possible.
Getting echoes of Akira here from Incubus. Yech.
I wonder if he’s just giving good advice, or encouraging Alison to abandon her friends.
Allison teleported an entire flying/sailing ship – with all her friends aboard – away from the Tower of Yre. Shouldn’t she be able to save everybody here?
There’s a huge difference between having the potential and knowing how to use it. She’s still super newbie with using the Key. Also let’s be honest, she’s probably too scared and shocked to consider the possibility (though it might help if one of her friends prompts her, assuming any survived that shockwave).
‘ “Powerful men, my lord, must by nature be exceptionally good fools,” said the young man.’
– Seeker of Thrones 10-144
Allison can only teleport while panicking.
Pretty sure the long advice is “You and anyone you care about, be elsewhere and far. Now.”
Ah, an honestly good advice from the Pit King, and a good reminder of our protagonists current place in the narrative.
Quite refreshing
Oh shit! Incubus jumping straight into Phase 2. You know this is serious.
I know that personality wise, Lord Intra (the irreverent sword master) maps more to Maja, but, Incubus has the eyelashes and the paleness. Is he Lord Intra? Maybe chiller in the days before the Universal War?
i have been turning this over in my head too. so many of these gods have such complicated pasts.
here’s a third option. maya did the deeds the stories of lord intra are about. but history is written by the usurpers.
Of course, you all know what is frightening about this, and what Incubus is really telling Alison – these are meaningless jabs and feints to start the fight. THESE ARE THE SEVEN GODS OF THE MULTIVERSE – do any of you really think this battle will be contained to mere swordplay on the surface of this world?
RUN, INDEED.
Just so.
Just so.
Called it. Incubus is a crazy messed-up Sword Vampire. And he’ll probably survive getting his head cut off like Dio.
A funny quirk about Head of John is that your head is immune to damage, and your neck is immune to beheading.
I wonder how many centimeters of torso you need to slice to bypass this peculiarity.
Best advice ever.
Personally, I’m interested in seeing what Gog-Agog does when she gets serious.
