So, Jadis is looking a lot younger than we’ve seen her, Alison looks rather like she did before any of the events of the comic, it would seem like some Matrix-like virtual reality occupied by their dream selves, except for the hair. Still white, probably seven years since it’s been cut. I think we can only hope this is some magically supported regeneration rather than a time skip.
If this is real space, and her hair has had long enough to grow back from scalp to that length… I dread how long she’s been there. That her muscles appear to have shrunk is also suggestive of a long coma which wouldn’t be so strange for someone possibly representing sloth.
With her arm back, I strongly suspect this is a mindscape though.
A dream is but a story our mind tells to our body. Alas, our mind is not so skilled a liar as the stones, the trees, and the sky. You are not as like to burn your tongue sipping fresh tea in a dream, a sad fact indeed.
Anyone else think Allison has been regrown with Cio’s blood-substance? That liquid in the drip sure looks a lot like what was in the Cio-puddle, and it could explain the skinny arm…
The first time we saw her wake up (in a bed) after a horrible ordeal there was a little knight in steamy armor bringing her pancakes.
And I mean armor that burned him if he thought naughty thoughts.
But that was a different turn of the wheel entirely than the one we’re on now.
I love the detail that she uses the leg she was missing previously to move the sheets and also the fact that her right arm is amller than her left again calling back to limb loss. Whether or not it’s intentional I think it’s pretty cool.
On a scale of one to ten? A billion, six billion, for what I have lost shall never come again — “Thou’lt come no more, never, never, never, never, never!”
One thing though – isn’t Allison supposed to not be the True Heir? How is it “how many times have we been here” if she is supposed to be an anomaly in the current cycle?
Actually the “from the scale of ten to one, how is your pain?” is quite reminescent of the medical institution in general feigning objectivity while being utterly useless in engaging with the depths of human suffering in a more embodied way. The kinda vibe we get from doctors shrugging off chronic pain disorders.

“On a scale of one to ten?
…
Eleven.”
On a scale of 1 to 10? YES.
I AM MISSING AT LEAST ONE LIMB.
Wrong answer, i see i need to erase more of your soul, awaken you deeper in the dream, to remove more of what causes you pain.

Oh man I’m incredibly happy to be getting updates again I’d been reloading the same page for weeks. Glad to have you back Abaddon!
A bed? Hah! Such a common word. In my worlds, a bed is anything you lay down on.

Right arm restored, muscles atrophied.
Jadis, what a large philtrum you have!

Infinity + 1
I get the impression this is in a mental/spiritual world…
(Side note: that alt text was so grim and cold.)

…or is this the next turn of The Wheel?
Eyes swollen from too many ocular lenses; too many microscopes and telescopes. Not all point outward
