You know, I just realized the vast difference in decor between the homage hall and the rest of Mottom’s palace. Coupled with the former’s advanced state of decay, its like the rest was built centuries after Mottom slew her husband and became Queen
“Mathangi ten Meti, Murder the Gods and Topple Their Thrones”
Am I the only one who thinks it kind of sounds like our Mendicant swordswoman had her regular name, and then was told in the imperative “murder the gods, and topple their thrones”? And then somehow she thought this was a pretty bad ass phrase, so she made it her name?
Running is good for your health, Mottom should follow our heroine example to keep herself in shape. Those faceless goons should not though, but I am not exactly sure why…
Let us all remember that Al-YIS-UN is a lot stronger than she appears to be. While taking a shower at her Earthly home before returning to Throne she did punch a hole through a shower wall.

Likely Mottom wants her alive. Most likely so she can tear her to shreds herself.
“ten Meti” is likely a title or moniker, one that was likely given to her by those who knew who her master was. So it may not be entirely her choosing. My guess is that it probably means “desciple”, “daughter”, or “heir of Meti”.
Use their rifles? maybe they’re not trusted enough to have bullets, only bayonets. They wouldn’t be able to aim, in any case, with all that synchronized muzzle raising and dipping.
They’re probably not sure whether they’re supposed to take Allison alive. A few moments ago she was a guest, and they’re likely not fully informed about what the situation is.
(Their orders might even be to take her alive, too.)
It’s one thing to be all like “yeah I’m totes pursuing this person who is capable of killing, like, everything, watch me go!” It’s entirely another thing to actually muster the will to strike at her, once you’ve found her.
The Self works hard to keep itself alive, to the point of blatant deceit. The pursuers’ Selves are probably telling them, “We don’t have a clear shot. If we aimed, we’d have to slow down, and we’d lose her. Better not put a hole in the wall or anything. The sound of a gun going off would startle the guests and cause a rout, and they might get hurt!” And who thinks to question his own thoughts? Reality is so thoroughly built of lies that we cannot even see through the lies our own psyches tell us.
poor girl. so much alcohol. then whining and bitching by some omby queen, then commiting crime in foreign dimension by killing some ancient blood drinking monster and now being hunted by the hord of guards.
Heaven shall be sought.
Those who find it, find themselves left wanting.
That IS a lot of banisters.
And a lot of running.
I believe those are in fact wall ornaments and paint, not banisters.

Is that a Beggar Knight I spy?
If not, then a close sibling or doppelganger; perhaps we shall be seeing the Beggar Knight soon?

Not the only one. She may keep good company with “Alice, Kill Six Billion Demons”. That may be how this kind of naming works.
Al-Yis-Un
One That Rules
damn, I like that
Maybe you were, but not anymore.
That’s how many beings in Throne get their names.
Running is good for your health, Mottom should follow our heroine example to keep herself in shape. Those faceless goons should not though, but I am not exactly sure why…
I do believe that running in this direction is likely to be quite bad for the soldiers’ health.
Let us all remember that Al-YIS-UN is a lot stronger than she appears to be. While taking a shower at her Earthly home before returning to Throne she did punch a hole through a shower wall.
Indeed, she has just began to tap in to the power of the Key of all Kings
To be honest, a lot of those walls aren’t that hard to punch through.
I found out about this web comic two days ago, blitzed through it until now, and screamed when I found that this was the last page to date.
We all know that feel, bro.
To Want is a terrible and grand thing.
Reach Abbadon through Tumblr, child.
Ah, good to see out favorite Mendicant Knight again. Perhaps now we shall actually see her fight?
Pursuit is a primal feeling, raising terror and panic like no other.
Consider the affect of Svankmajers Cellar, with prowling beast and rolling coals.
Fortune is mine mostly, but all lives know the terror of pursuit. This is axiomatic.

Cowardice. As long as you have some decent food you should be fine.
“Always bring a slice of meat and a loaf of bread,” my mentor used to say, “for it can stall a starved enemy long enough.”
Devils and angels. Throne. Gates and roads. Gluttony and corruption. Strange deals and odd games. The ordinary twisted and strange. Wonders!
The dead King still walks and she sees him. The Seven do not, but more and more, they shall all fear a girl.
These have been our days. They rain upon us beneath a red sky, crushing us with their fury, until as one we beg: “LET IT BEGIN!”
May we all live in interesting times.
Wish granted!
Why don’t they use their rifles? Maybe such weapon is useless against a god. So why chase her at all?
Maya “ten Meti”. Nice to see her, but question, why did she took the name of her master?
Likely Mottom wants her alive. Most likely so she can tear her to shreds herself.

One who would murder a guest of honor of Mother Om without her command had best be prepared to suffer the guest’s intended punishment tenfold.
For understandable reasons, her guardians are not inclined to chance this.

Step 1. Go to any given SMT soundtrack
Step 2. Go to killsixbilliondemons.com
Step 3. Profit

May I suggest Otogi 1 and 2’s brilliant soundtracks?

They have firearms. I wonder why they’re not shooting?
I would assume to not anger Mottom by shooting up her walls.
They’re not loaded.
“Dammit, Daniel, weren’t you in charge of the maintenance?”
“I thought YOU were!”
They’re probably not sure whether they’re supposed to take Allison alive. A few moments ago she was a guest, and they’re likely not fully informed about what the situation is.

I would assume that it’s because Mottom wants Alison recaptured, not killed.

It was merely a coincidence that the band chose this moment to play Yakkity Sax.
*Benny Hill music plays*
Imagining that has made this strip 100% better.
In that vein:
1) Read 5-93 with all due solemnity and angst.
2) Start Yakety Sax.
3) Then read 5-94 thru 5-98.
It is a thing of beauty…
Considering the previous hidden text, I here and now predict that Meti will die in the course of this story.
Where is our favorite beggar-knight–Oh.
*Jaws theme plays*
Don’t worry Meti, Alison’s fine. From here on out it’s just Benny Hill theme.
Who knew the Death Korps of Krieg had a division assigned to Mottom. The Munitorium will not be pleased.
My respectable dark skinned cohort.
*Hive Fives mini* There it is, thats the comment was waiting to see.
We are about to find out what a beggar knight thinks of death, perhaps.
I foresee a grandiose amount of hyper-violence in this comic’s near future
[Yakety Sax Intensifies]
Perfect. HAHA!
Uh-oh. Auntie Maya is probably not there to offer auntly advice and sweets from the bottom of her purse.
If she’s nearby it means the rest of the Parade of 108 Fools is also nearby.
