WHEEL SMASHING LORD 2-39
Chapter: 2
“The only measure of a true bond – the test of the blade. You dance nave to nave, with your hearts exposed, a dagger pressed and pointed at each one. Every movement must be gentle and precise, in time with your partner. Otherwise, you both will be impaled.”
-Yemeen, Disciple of Pravi
Puzzling! It could be that Allison is pushing Cio (that’s definitely Cio or her remnant) out of harm’s way. Or Allison might finally have gotten around to reading the title of this comic and senses that she’s going to have to kill all the demons, but if she’s come to that conclusion I totally missed the moment.
typical hangover conversation
Well… her feelings for White CHain are no semi-confirmed. She’s loves Cio enough to send prot-Cio away, but keeps White Chain close enough to dier…
But it’s different – when White Chain dies she just comes back as White Chain + 1. Not so for Cio, which is why we have the shard from Allison’s arm. Without it, the new version of Cio would not remember a thing.
I think it’s uncertain what would happen to White Chain if she were to die in this form. She may return in her customary suit of ash, she may reincorporate once more in flesh, or she may truly be mortal now.
Even if White Chain was “Killed” and returned to the void as her current incarnation, would her Brothers allow her to return to Throne when she is as deformed as she is now?
Her Brothers would keep her in the void until she had become more like them again.
White Chain is currently a demiurge. There’s no such thing as “away” or “safe” for her, bit she’s also a lot more capable of defending herself.
With that said, I don’t think this decision was about physical safety.
She’s a demiurge *and* an angel (albeit one having taken the rather unprecedented step of taking a humanoid material form somehow…). AFAIK she may actually be the first such angelic demiurge… and given how much of a power disparity there’s supposed to be between humans and angels under ordinary circumstances, that may make her one of the most powerful demiurges ever.
Suffice to say I doubt White Chain needs much help protecting herself.
I hate it when I finally reincorporate my physical form and my Ex is like “I’ll turn you into dust.”
Cheers to Thousand Palm Thesis ! Best reply ever !
Know you’ve inspired a poem for our dear suffering daughter of YIS.
Daughter of YIS
“GOT Ya !
YE Demigod-Bastich !”
Ouch. GODDAMN.
Transfixed by Sword – cloven to fragments.
What a muddle – now to a puddle.
Destroyed – now Void. Timeless- shapeless – formless.
Burning blackly returned to Essence.
All I was, torn asunder,
Memories, Self… what ? Me…a blue elf ?
No, I’m an empty bookshelf.
Over a year, I begin to cohere.
Less a mask, more a pale ashen corpus.
You carry a part of me that was – you profligate
You Wild flinger of Divine powers.
Falling from the Void, Drawn to you.
Called back into Being without a mask.
The Remnant of Me calling to the rest.
A shell drifts to the Red City.
What is…this ? A tusk ? A husk ?
Empty headed me without thought or memory.
Until was what returns. Ah !
Shattered, Scattered I was. Oh !
Here – You seem somewhat familiar – AH !
The Flare of Her ANGER inspires terror.
Enemies ? She ? We ?
A warning – a Dire THREAT.
So I skitter – I GET.
Under Thrones’ broken sun,
Dimly, more sense returns.
My broken self reforms to something anew.
What – and Who – will I be ? And Who…was She ?
I’ll turn and I’ll tack, and Some things…
…Some things will come back.
Damn.
My last month’s paycheck was 11000 dollars. All I did was simple 0nline work from comfort at home for 6-8 hours/day that I got from this agency I discovered over the internet and they paid me 45 dollars every hour.

Dude, you’re not helping
Really? Sounds terrible. I earned 6 billion gold pieces in one month by killing 6 billion internet troll bots. I leisurely strolled through the multiverse with a jug of wine and a broken sword, and all the chutzpah in Creation, leaving a virtual bloodbath of pixels and slashed silicon.
Good to see noble work well-rewarded; such is rarely the case.
Not-Cio still has a nice ass though
True! I had not observed those ass-clappin’ buttocks until reading your comment. Considering the weird bony body, those cheeks rate.
Very interesting…
So Allison and White Chain go out on the town and whoop it up, Allison initiating White Chain’s body with the joys of wretched excess.
Then as they suffer the morning after the night before, a weird Juggernaut-Star-like creature appears and draws the Cio shard into its eye. Allison sends it away with dire warnings and then lies to White Chain about it.
(White Chain’s normally sharp perceptions no doubt clouded by whatever horrible stuff they drank the night previous).
So the theory that it’s Cio bears a lot of weight (but where did you get that body, girl? Your other bod was so much more appealing).
I thought that offed demons went back into the black flame and eventually were re-made in the same fashion that White Chain and the angels are (though it takes a looong time).
Then again, White Chain managed to skip the process and since everything has gone catty-wampus anyway, I suppose anything could happen.
Devils typically don’t come back. Angels just become non physical of someone destroys their armor, booting them back into the spirit world. Devils become one with the black flame again, the only way to get anything like them back is to painstakingly reconstruct their mask and try to bind a new one with it.
I wonder if this proto-Cio’s return could have something to do with Himself, the most overlooked major player in the game.
Shhhh. Spoilers…
My thought exactly. Alison was forced to agree to give Cio up to Himself if they lost. I suppose technically they did lose, although it could be argued that they’re currently in a timeout thanks to Salami Dave. If Cio were to come back, Alison would have to honour her bargain. Hence she chased her away before even knowing whether it was Cio or not. But I agree that this definitely has a feeling of ‘not over yet’.
Notably, this is a pale devil. The weakest color, and the only one weaker than a blue devil. When initially formed, they are small and unnatural-looking but will grow as they age (seemingly with no upper limit). So this is not a young pale devil. I don’t know how devils age so the timelines might add up, who knows?
Regardless, it definitely had a slot in its head for that piece of mask.
Poor Cio. Poor Allison.
And lo, the Successor sinks into the delusion as countless Star-Crowned before her have.
The will to power is ultimately a desire for safety, yet why do so many that proclaim themselves on the path of Kingship spurn confidants when they most dearly wish for one?
Man, I’m crying. Good job, Abaddon. ;n;
Cio? More like CYA lmao
This, ironically, gives me hope that we will see Cio return. Narratively, sending her remnant away like this is the surest way to ensure that we see her at Allison’s side once more, though it may take a turn or three.
Damn, I caught up! Time to wait 2 years for the end.
Dare I suggest that who we saw was Cio Zero? Or maybe it was Diet Cio? Or Cio Clear?
Cio Dew, with xtra caffeine
Someone on a particular site with upvotes and downvotes suggested Piyee Pyessai, which is my personal favorite
This gon’ bite her in the ass.
I since a demon watcher in Alison’s future.
New Cioc is i believe the ideal reference here.
How do I ALWAYS reply to the wrong g-d damn comment
Just get outta here you stupid dumb animal!
I was also thinking of that when I read this page 😂
If this creature is what remains of Cio, no doubt it instinctively understands this profession of dire emnity for the profession of deepest love that it really is.
After all, some part of it, no matter how small, was once…a fan-fiction writer.
Gut instinct theory? Allison and White Chain have both evolved beyond what they once were, and are both, in some ways, something either very new or at least very unusual.
My low-hanging fruit guess would be she will return not as Ciocie Cioelle Estrella Von Maximus the Third, but as a devil truly named Cio – and nothing else.
Allison remembers the lesson of Cio’s past love, and does not want to repeat it.
Allison remembers that though a demon may come back, she will never be Cio, just as Cio could never be Yab. Do not cage new life with the face of the dead.
If the Cio demon returns, it will be either as a miraculous Cio returned, or a new being seeking its metaphorical “mother”.
We don’t want her to come back exactly as Cio, any more than we wanted White Chain to remain exactly as she was. It’s just magnificent character development.
No Balm is observant.
You say that, but its very likely she would be a different entity and not cio in any sense. Currently that how the world building has set it up anyway, and the characters have no reason to believe that this will be an exceptional case.
Allison has not forgiven herself.
Well knowing Allison to the end of this story has 35 years to go it wouldn’t surprise me if at some point of that time a more formed Cio like person who will remember herself a bit more upon collecting shards of her mask would step in Allison path again but this time maybe truly as her new enemy feeling strong connection to her not knowing why and remembering this very first memory of Allison scaring her away as her trauma to go on now.
Ah fuck, it was better if Cio died for real than we had to witness Allison and also Cio going through such past break up all over again, but then if Jag goes with his plan and the vampire guy too there’s no safe for newly forming Cio devil anyway.
It will be shitty if author will let Allison save the universe, then move to the side for her remaining lifetime left and let Cio move on with someone else.
aw fuck yeah, i love crying
is that series of teeth-like protrusions on proto-cio’s/neo-7juggernaut’s face are a “beard” or a reptile like hinged jaw?
just to be clear, i think it’s far more likely to be cio(and i sure hope it is), but i wouldn’t rule out the possibility that it’s 7 juggernaut either.
