Cio seems significantly stronger, but an Ebon devil she is not. Given the relationship between identity and ranking in devils, I wonder if this means her earlier statements about Yalbachaoth being who she truly was weren’t as accurate as she thought they were? Even fully embracing her “nature” as a friendless, miserable monster hasn’t brought out her true power.
“True Power” and “True Nature” are…difficult and loaded words.
Is there any such thing as a “True Self”? What makes one set of behaviors any less valid – any less “True” – than another? Do we wear masks over our faces? Or do we have any such thing as a “face”? Are we, instead, entirely made of masks? Are we not judged for our actions, because no intent can change the consequences of those actions?
And with Cio, is she struggling to return to being Yabalchoath? Is it even POSSIBLE to return to being someone you once were? Are you even the same person from day to day, moment to moment? Or is “your” existence merely the sum of a stream of actions and physical/mental/spiritual states, constantly morphing and changing and transmuting?
Is Cio becoming Yabalchoath again? Or is she just becoming yet another new person, ushering in the next stage of her life? And just what form will that new person take?
in my short life, i have never once observed a proclamation of true nature that is anything other than confusing an interpretation of an imaginary approximation of what a person could be, with an observation of the actual person of topic.
A broken sword can be the sharpest of them all. I’m not sure though that she will calm down Cio by force, even if it would be the most impressive. Maybe she will get some help from the residents of the vault? Doubtful, but not impossible. Finally, as an equally unlikely outcome, there is the possibility of Oscar intervening in some way.
All things considered, this outcome is superior to a virtually certain death without Incubus’ intervention. The “Great Dragon” might be confused by spectacle, however.
Well the stigmata wasnt enough

One more God rejected!
I’m heaven above outside you!
One more God rejected!
I have your back to the wall!
Words are tools of lesser beings.
The Conquering King must possess their subjects through Will alone.
So says a Liar.

Well Allison’s scars in the holiday picture make sense now.
“Don’t wear it out.”
Hooboy Cio isn’t home sweetie, Yabalchoath is here and I have a sneaking suspicion that Mammon is shortly about to be not.
Also I miss my boy Oskar I hope he didn’t dead
Oh god, these waits are becoming harder and harder!
Some days you get the dragon, and some days the demon gets you.
Whelp, pity party’s over. Pain party begins… now.
Was wondering where Christmas Allison’s scars came from!
Well put.
Quite restrained, really. At least she didn’t use the knife.
yalbalcoath returns and gives no fucks
I love Cio….. LOVE HER
The Rising King is falling fast.
The turning is almost complete.
Not much longer now.
It seems as though Al-YIS-UN will have to learn the art of restoring herself without the aid of Incubus, before the rampaging Cio ends her existence.

Betrayal entails vengeance. Regret does not entail forgiveness.
OH DAMN, SHITS GOING DOWN
A King without scars is a poor King indeed.
AT LAST. WITHOUT EYES ALYISUN WILL SEE.
No. Not Cio. Only the Flame.
Surely you did not think the path to forgiveness was walked that easily?
I wonder if Praman Nand still loves whatever this Purple demon is right now
