I had been wondering about that. Originally, slaying dragons was not on the bucket list. I’m not sure how it got there. Maybe she’s just getting carried away with the epic feel of the whole thing*, and thinks she should start slaying dragons because, y’know, it’s the done thing isn’t it?
* I have to admit I sometimes get carried away with the epic feel of the whole thing myself.
Hrmm… Nuns of Count, wedded to the Holy Dragon, recording for posterity his every move, thought, word and whim.
Seems to me Allison has a track record for encountering the women-folk tethered to the Demiurges. Y’all probably recall how she encountered Naive and brought her into the fold.
I’m also thinking that a gal with ultimate power and the now-harnessed will to use it (plus mad manga skills) should know enough about flexing that will to, maybe, heal her wounds and bring about the destruction of pretty near anything. She has the Blade, but she lacks the WANT. C’mon little lady, nut up and show yer mettle!
Oh. If not for other people pointing out that these people were born here, I’d still be thinking “And to think you could’ve gotten in here the easy way like last time.”
As for how Alison’s going to deal with these people, I wonder how they’d react if she admits to having traveled all this way just to find her boyfriend. Maybe she should offer the sword to The Dragon as tribute? After all, with the Blade of Want at her command, she has no need for the metal trinket.
“He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And if you gaze long into an abyss, the abyss also gazes into you.”

Yeah, wow. I am immediately displeased with Allison, based on the gut level reaction that one *does not make little children afraid like that*. Bad Allison. Bad.
Not that she could have known, but, y’know. Gut level reaction.
“HI THERE !
GOSH – THIS IS SO AWKWARD…
OH THE SWORD ?
That’s just for self-defense…..SORRY !
I’m SUCH a SUPER FAN of the Great Dragon,
And I’m LIKE – TOTALLY IN AWE OF HIS GREATNESS !
LIKE FO’ SURE !
SO…..LIKE, WHERE CAN I MAKE MY ADORATIONS ?”
How fascinating.
I wonder what these people value, in the land of wealth?
Perhaps they value food and warmth here, for what value does coin hold in this place?
Well, Al-YIS-UN! Time to kill!
Hey they stranger… heard the good news about becoming peaches?
I suppose this may well be the first time the Priests of the Count can understand the value of ripped leggings.
Remember your goals, Alison. When did “slay the dragon” become one of them?
The moment they had the misfortune to be born within the accursed Vault

When slaying the dragon seemed to be a net gain. Now she has to recalculate the cost of doing so a bit…
And in that moment, of self-realization, Allison made a choice:
She would stay the blade.
No more Martyrs.
The absence of the Blade of Want speaks volumes.
And these people will do the worst thing imaginable – they will be kind to her.

Does Mammon have gold dandruff?
where do you think the “coins” come from?

But then, Allison is not a normal girl, after all…

Given the history of Kill Six Billion Demons, this quote is quite fitting.
Orange and white seem to be a theme with the Black Emperors.
Me Dammit.
I suspect Maya will be along shortly to show her how to use that sword.

…OH. Of course!
If the priests never leave, how else would they not die out within a generation?
Still, I hope amends can be met here! To make children cry gives even devils pause
I was half-expecting it to go into an “oompa-loompa” song.
You know, the ones from the original movie.
Rejoice, whelp! Your liberation is come!
Like white birds on the back of crocodiles. He wont harm them as they provide him with a useful service
TIME TO PLAY VALLEY GIRL !

choose what you will but your enemies may not care for collateral

Is she trying to re-ignite her powers in the fourth and fifth panels? I’m sure it’s risky, but she really needs them back.
Alison not the eight year olds!
Man if she survives this, she’s going to have nightmares about this whole thing for the rest of her life.
“Did you see the size of that sword she pointed at us? It was bigger than she was!”
*later*
“Oh shit, I just stabbed Mammon in the face.”
‘The fuck you do that for?’
“I don’t know, it was an accident, the sword went off!”
