Seeker of Thrones 7-77
Chapter: 7
No matter how far down they traveled, no matter how perilous the drop or yawning the pit, Enyis never found an end to the Deep.
“The Deep is very treacherous indeed,” said Enyis once, as they camped on the edge of a howling abyss.
“The Deep has one purpose,” replied the Boar King, “And that is to swallow men whole, or else make monsters out of them.”
– Enyis and the Boar King
It has been a while since we’ve seen some weird fuckin shit(tm) in KSBD. It’s rather refreshing.
Just as planned.
*Steeples fingers and the reaper archons bring forward the Yis-Holy Chalice.*
Next episode Felicia will be back as the Lucky Screaming Head in the Door, having activated her hidden Screaming Head gene her father injected her with as a child, enabling demonkind to fight back against the Screaming Head in the Door scourge!
Dammit! How did I miss this when I was looking for the best place for Crimson Bow and Arrow?
Curse this linear timeline nonsense!
Oh my shit. This is the coolest thing I’ve ever seen.
I wouldn’t be surprised if that was the last we saw of her. cats are known to evade death more than one time, is that correct?
regardless.

For my part, if I were Mammon’s chief of security and I were designing a trap to separate an incoming hostile party, I’d try to keep the separated one alive enough to pump for intel. Depending on the degree of sorcery available, that might not be very alive at all.
Think you the Selfish Wurm let another man draw the path of his heart?
Perhaps, perhaps. But if so, that man’s head lies in a box, numbered and written and put away against the great scorecard.
Keep the separated one alive, pump them for info, then send them back to the party for the vengeance they most likely want.
This is what I would do, too. The sacrifice would most definitely be willing to assist, if you simply presented yourself as offering vengeance.
Of course, I suppose the problem with this plan is that if a single ‘sacrifice’ escaped the bank, news would inevitably get out. Then your big scary murder-door becomes a big scary security risk.

Luck is no replacement for good decision making.
You take a job from a devil and you end up dying a gruesome death. It’s hard to feel pity for one so lacking in insight.
Not deserving of such a fate aside, she brought it on herself.
Wow…this one is upsetting….
Cherish your ability to feel this pain. It may be the only hope for a world whose heart has grown dull and cold. Cherish it.
Every time you try to rob the unbreachable fortress, Oscar kills a catgirl.
Please, think of the catgirls.
Thou wouldn’t download a vault!

LOV THE GRONCH
Bye, Felicia
Yep. lol
She is very important to open the door.
She WAS very important to open the door ж)
Her legacy will live on,
in the back button!
It’s okay, cats have 9 lives
She’ll be back.. unless that was her last one.
Suppose she wasn’t so lucky after all.
Watch Felicia come back more powerful than they could ever imagine.
It would be surprising, to be sure…
First
Arrogance.
Hello nightmare fuel for the next two weeks.
Dang.
Congratulations, Charon.
Ahh, but did the Deep succeed, in the case of Enyis? That is what must be known.
Enyis never saw the sun again. Albeit the alternative was worse.
Ah.
Among the people of Wrong Pass, a very poorly situated glacial valley notable for floral beers and fecund teratogenic forces, there is a folk wisdom.
Call yourself skillful, virile, mighty or clever and you will merely annoy your peers. The title of Lucky, however, offends fate.
I’ll admit I do feel a little schadenfreude for these ones, but I don’t rush them.
There’s little enough to enjoy in my work, and I like to savor their folly.
Sadly, people who think of themselves as lucky rarely last long in Throne, anyway.
This is the first time I’ve ever hoped for a TPK and I don’t like it.
Just curious. If they throw a patsy into the mouth to get in, where do they throw a patsy to get out?
It wasn’t designed with an exit.
and if it was then you REALLY REALLY do not want to go that way …. unless you were truly into your work as a scatologist.
Sometimes calling yourself “lucky” does not make it truth.
Crunchy! Just like meat buns from China!
Aww. Sad Cio is sad.
I am a bit disappointed that our friendly barista didn’t boot Incubus out and feed him to the door, but I suppose he’ll come in handy later.
By the way: “The Deep has one purpose,” replied the Boar King, “And that is to swallow men whole, or else make monsters out of them.”
That’s two purposes. 😛
The “or’ in that statement is the “and/or” version. Like in math. After all, in the end, the Fate is the same.
