Seeker of Thrones 11-153
Chapter: 11
That’s it for book 3! This was a long one (about 20-something pages longer than book 2, not to mention the 3 1/2 weeks it took to do the Siege of Yre spread and the delays from traveling this year and last). Thanks very much for sticking with this story arc over the last year and a bit. I’d recommend going back to read book 3 as a big chunk so you get the whole thing in one place, it will be a lot more thematically coherent and some of the pacing will make more sense.
On to book 4 next week: King of Swords
Thank you!!!!
*applause*
I eagerly await picking up a print copy!
Also, >King of Swords. I suspect many shenanigans with Incubus, Maya, Meti, perhaps even Intra shall be had
What a beautiful nightmare of a book. Truly, the Blessed Lady has stretched out her hand over you!
One man’s dusk is another man’s dawn.
And thus the Multiverse was given the holy manna that is the taco! IA! IA! Praise the folded torrtilla, for the Wheel folds in on itself for the Rising King!
Abbadon! Abbadon! More! More, More, More, More, MORE!
Yeah, this.
This book was simply amazing and I eagerly await the next. Thanks for all your hard work, Abbadon!
The angel looks worried that the City of Angels must be cursed. If these guys were there, they’d have to look for a Walmart to park their stolen flying RV. Yes, cursed.
But then againb, so is this city…
I tried to learn how to cook once.
My master bade me fell a trio of great sea serpents, divide them into portions no greater than a grain of sand, cook them in the heat of the primordial furnace, with no more than the wooden handle of of what was once technically a cooking knife.
I did so, and it was a delicacy so great I can still taste it today, but in so doing lost three fingers and my fifth rib. Doing so again in this state would be impossible.
But, according to my great master, it is the law of taste that true artisans only ever craft one great work, for did not Yisun only craft one world?
To this day I do not know.
And my efforts to reclaim my lost digits have been fruitless.
He was a great cook, but I wonder about his mind.
Thank you for all that you do, Abbadon. I adore your story telling, your art, and really just everything about KSBD. I recommend it to anyone who will listen. Thank you.
Words cannot express what an amazing travel was this book… in english
Pero en español claro que se puede decir, es una JODIDA BELLEZA!
Admittedly, it’s difficult to find time to cook when you’re 1) making deals with Demiurges, 2) plotting a heist, 3) being scared out of your wits, 4) getting involved in mutually awkward sexual tension, 5) coming to grips with godlike power, 6) inciting multiversal war, and 7) being repeatedly put into comas, among other things.
Allison has had a…confusing few weeks.
Third panel with Alison (“And the food is great”) has her looking epic there.
Punished Alison, a barista without her coffee.
Hrmm… Quite awesome! A splendid ending, and well done throughout!
Ok, I’m ready to place my order for book 3 ;-b
As someone from California, I will be the first to say that LA is indeed a cursed city.
I assure you it is mostly self inflicted.
It is my observation that each sufficiently large city becomes cursed with some malady of corruption and group madness. It is also my observation that they are blessed with the vibrance and arts of all sort.
A tricky business these cities.
Most satisfactory. Meticulous art, exotic vistas, very nice character development, lots of violence, a touch of lust, and a “what next?” story. Thank you!

once the food comes from the feeder.
Awesomeness. Keep up the great work, Abbadon!
Book 3 was amazing !! Thank you Abbadon for such a great story I love every piece of it, it became a routine for me to check for the newest pages and I can’t wait to enjoy Book 4 !
Keep up the awesome work and Praise the Sun !
Love love LOVE your work Abbadon. Keep it up, and thank you.
The number of parties in this scene alone goes beyond the count of fun.
A good ending is also a good beginning. Well done.
This piece is absolutely stunning. Love the dialogue, the faces, the astonishing colours of the last pannel. Thanks a lot! And hell yeah, I am going to reread Seeker of Thrones as a whole, for sure.
The sun may set, but they will chase it over the horizon
This is the first book to finish since I started reading and I’m in a constant state of being blown away by your artwork and storytelling.
There’s more of those terrifyingly large birds I mentioned on p151.
On the left, midway up the page. Perching on a building. They’ve got to be 8ft tall at least.
One of those birds demands your sandwich, you better give it to them.
This is what my ears taste, when my eyes smell that last vue. Abbadon, c’est magnifique:’)

God damn that was a fun ride. Definitely read it all in one chunk, it really keeps the story moving if you do that, and you appreciate everything a bit more.
I’m REALLY looking forward what is coming next !
Every book is getting better! And I’m assuming we’re just at the beginning of the story. Man, this is awesome.
Can’t wait for the printed book to order it.
What timing! I closed the last page by accident and when I opened it back up there was another waiting for me! Man, these last few pages made me wish I was a lesbian, lol.
it’s never
too late
That’s pretty great. They are somewhat optimistic, & in good spirits. Ready to take the next step as a team, instead of just furthering personal agendas.
Much will be lost in translation. Allison’s home town will forever be known as The Accursed City of Los Angeles. And therefore, much fun will be had, at the most powerful being in the multiverse’s expense.
Totally awesome. Cant wait for Book 3 in print..
A friend recommended this and I only recently caught up through the entire story. Dreamy and coherent by stages, or glazes of meaning… You really rip up the rug with your colour schemes and full spread city scenes.
Great work, man. I intentionally left all of the text comments that go with the images unread so that I can go back a second time and read the page + text accompaniment to get even further depth. >:] Looking forward to rereading with all this juicy context!
For some of the comments, ‘depth’ would be depth of insanity. But some of the insanity does mesh nicely with the world setting.
Foodliness is next to Godliness.
King of Swords!! THE HYPE IS REAL!!
this is my ot3 im living
Hrmm… I don’t recommend calling the alien mantis’ phone number (905-6791). Well, unless you have a body or large heap of trash you need to dispose of quickly. Think of it as Throne’s equivilent to 1-800-GOT-JUNK. Only the workers show up and devour everything right on the spot. It can be fascinating to watch. Just be careful what you point at, cuz it will disappear with a quickness.
Cio’s face upon learning that Allison claims cooking skill is not a trusting one.
My spleen and kidneys filtered this association out also – thanks, my dudes!

King of swords as in Intra the king of swords?
Very good. I’ll have to try to get my hands on the physical books, too.
What a lovely cityscape! And a great ending to a chapter. I’m eager to see what will happen next.
i’m already looking forward to having book 3 in hard-copy. woot!
This is awesome… I can’t wait to see book four.
It was awesome, thank you!
I’ve only been to LA once or twice in my life and so cannot say if it is cursed or not. Then again, I do recall seeing the city from my airplane window as we were landing and I could not miss the smog hanging over the city like a pall. I was only in the city for 2 days to interview at UCLA Law, but the summer heat and the oppressive smog made the city feel…somewhat unworldy and surreal, almost like I was on an alien planet.
And I live in Washington, D.C., the one city that seems to make absolutely no sense to the rest of America because it’s where the White House, Congress and the Supreme Court are. “Inside the Beltway” (a common nickname for DC) seems bizarre to the rest of America because this city runs on (and exists because of) national politics. So if LA seems like a cursed city, then DC is a crazy one.
But for me, it’s just home.
Thank you very much for all the amazing work you have done so far, I look forward to the next book immensely.
Here’s to hoping that Cio and White Chain will get to see what Allison’s home is like sooner or later.
Your cityscapes are amazing. Is there a chance of getting that last page as a large-scale pic so we can zoom in to look at all the wonderful detail?
I’m looking forward to Book 4, both the story and the color quotes!
Thank you.
Are you a lucky little lady from The City of Lights?
Or just another lost angel?
City of Night, City of Night
City of Night, City of Night
Love your work, looking forward to the next chapter. Your art-work is mindblowing.
I find it bizarre that this comic has been actively updated for 5 years and yet it feels like it just started. This chapter is like a new beginning.
There’s no theme park in the multiverse that has a ride this awesome. Thanks, based Abaddon, for all the wondrousness you’ve brought us.
Cio’s expression in the second to last panel: “Oh no, she a cook.”
Woohoo! So great as ever.
Magnificent as always, Abbadon. The twistiness of the tale rises with quality of your imagery. Eagerly this supplicant awaits your next offering.
“A King of Swords is nothing, if he cannot defend his crown.” -Daresso, the King of Swords, of the Grand Arena of Theopolis.
Good stuff
btw the hover text for this page has a typo @abbadon
Ah, if only I could be so resplendently incandescent.
Wooooooooo!! What a long read this has been.. looking forward to book 4!!
Amazing work. Thank you!
Alison basically gave the description of my own hometown. Interesting.
[A weird city. Every inhabitant kind of loves and hates it equally.
It’s kind of cursed.
But it’s next to the ocean and my family’s there.
The beaches are pretty nice.
And the food is GREAT.
Then she represents me being extra af again: maybe I’ll cook sometime.
“tha… can cook?”
Well yeah. Nobody asked.]
I have embarked on this journey. Interesting universe!
Extremely worthy to be known and understood.

A motivating discussion is worth comment. I believe that you should write more on this topic, it might not be
a taaboo matter but generally eople do not discuss such issues.
To the next! Best wishes!!
Thank you for some other great article. Where else may anyone get that type of information in such an ideal means
of writing? I have a presentation subsequent week, and I am on the search for such

Always lovely to see when the owner of an establishment is so proud of their business that they install a giant, eight-limbed, bi-pincered statue of themselves looming ominously over the entrance.
Builds public cohesion and unity of purpose.
