Beware, hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.
And yet will she be enough to overcome the king in the mountain? Will her fury suffice where greed has failed others?
Or is her greed all the same, just for that of revenge and flesh.
Where as sorrow has weakened the dragon, will this be enough to stir him from his ancient slumber.
Oh dear, looks like the Battle Royale is about to kick in.
I’ve followed your site for a long time and have always loved it. But after getting Volumes 1 & 2 of the story and rereading it, I can say this is the BEST graphic novel out there.
As much as I would like to root for Mammon here, it’s important to remember both of them have caused countless suffering on a scale unimaginable. Let the godhead annihilate itself, heaven is a violent place.
I came back to look over the page, and as usual the detail subtly says a lot. My favorite bit is how the smoke is pushed aside when Mottom begins her approach. It really contributes to the atmosphere, makes the reader feel like they can feel the hurricane wind of her haste.
Thinking about it, I wonder how many lives Mottom stole away to rejuvenate her body? Because she didn’t seem to be able to keep it young without a continuous act of will… which is easier if you power that with something. Life energy seems to be rather popular, though I’ve found it more efficient to use other forms of energy and spend my people on labors of worth instead.
A door opens.
Who will come in?
What will step out?

Are you suggesting that the Queen of Glory does not wish to Wake the Dragon?
Judge against Queen! Axe versus Whip! Let’s get ready to rrrrrumble!
Grandpa Mammon nooooooooooooo
“Javë, Joi, Jum,
Beware when falling the Greatest Tower [of World]
For when they fall, the whole world Trembles.
Aië, Aoe, Woe.”
AOE
And with the phrase “uncouth ruffian” Drampa Mammon finally gnawed his way into my heart.
The Tower trembled in the wind
As Glory thrashed and raved
Those innocent and those who had sinned
None of them could be saved.
The Pontifex is observant.
This one thanks thee, acquaintance Un Fel.

HOCH HECH!
*an infinite amount of mimics emerge from ceiling*
That would actually be a hilarious way for this chapter to end

Each of them is undoubtedly several sigmas Worse than Hitler (TM).
Lacking our Total Mastery of Space-Time, you cannot change the past, Demiurge.
Rather than pursue justice by punishing the wrongs of the past, seek an alliance that will minimize the wrongs of the future.
How can 000001’s civilian charges hope to escape this warzone?
The red evening star have decended on the tower, what star will rise come dawn
Nay, not the red of rage. Orange is the color of gluttony. Shall it overcome the glittering yellow of avarice?
Just when you get a place decorated the way you like it, someone always has to crash a flying city through the fucking wall.

All things considered, she landed that city fairly well. Just patch up the hole, and add one flaming city to the count.
*please don’t be former friends which had a falling out that mammon forgot and he is happy to see her*
Mottom! You’re back!

Last century? I’ve only been alive for seventy years!

Great job as usual, Abaddon.

Probably every soul that was in her Palace. I expect many if not all have perished in her fury.
Somewhere, Incubus has just the smuggest grin.
[Insert “Just As Planned” meme here]
Mottom is naughty naughty child.
Should be spanked in a violent, preferably flaming manner.
If you know your Tarot at all, you had to see this coming.
Truly terrible is the Rot of Glory that it calls one to even kick the Towers Prisoner from its torpor.
“The count will take even longer what with an extra city added to the pile!”
Still, I would not count the Grand Dragon out just yet. The Glory has not yet pierced the Tower. She has merely made a mess of his courtyard.
