Fortnite references aside this is a pretty good move on Solomon’s part. He either knew Alison would be here or found out she’d come. Now there are, really, only two outcomes. She’ll either win the fight and face him directly, or she’ll die and not be a problem anymore. She could also escape, but I don’t think that’s how the story’s gonna play out.
So presumably she’ll win? ‘Cause I don’t see Abbadon end the story with Allison’s death in a battle royal. (Not that it wouldn’t be original of course)
I see no reason to believe she’ll *win*. Arguably, she didn’t win against either Mottom or Mammon. It’s possible she’ll lose the fight, but catch Solomon’s attention some other way, then either use that to free Zaid or use that to fail to free Zaid in some way that continues the plot.
Or, alternatively, this isn’t the Solomon book at all, it’s the Gog-Agog book and Solomon’s going to entirely ignore her until book 7 or so.
What’s with all the “this is a Fortnite reference” “this is an Achewood reference” etc. in these comments? The concept of battle royale has been around for centuries, at least. This isn’t Erfworld, not everything has to be a reference to something.
It might feel unfair to the combatants to change the format halfway through, but then they should’ve read those forms a bit more carefully; it was probably right there in the fine print.
That makes sense, and of course, he has never let us down with the quality of his artwork! But he usually posts a warning either here or at the adjacent blog, and he hasn’t this time, so maybe anyone knew something else from his social media accounts

Yes, and the next few pages will all be big battle scenes, so perhaps Abaddon is preparing them in batch so as to have quicker delivery once the battle starts. Also, I wonder if the plan is to include some characters from the OCT event as fighters in the battle; maybe that link is causing a delay?

An ancient, strange legend says that, if you fling open a Dragon Ball manga, a tab with the wikipedia page for Sincretism and play random songs of a certain Spotify power metal playlist, Abbaddon will appear before you and bestow you the wisdom of the ages in the form of a single mantra:
Can’t help but hear Gog Agog’s voice as Deedee’s from Dexter’s Lab… (watch the episode D & DD if you wanna hear the perfect sample and have some lulz. My Gogagog head voice is something between Deedee and the Fairy Queen from the same episode, both voiced by Kat Cressida)

Gog-Agog sounds rattled by Solomon’s sudden change of plans I think this is the first time we’ve seen her stutter!

The mouseover text is a direct reference to the title of an achewood book.

Anyone heard from Abaddon lately? This page has been up for 11 days with no official news about a delay afaik…
You know the next page is going to be a big battle scene, and those always take a while to create – and are always worth the wait!

As the sages would say, ‘the battle royale winners might not be the strongest of them all, but the most cunning’

Still no update? Could it be the next page is going to be one of Abaddon’s gloriously huge fight scenes like back in Mammon’s tower?
I hope so, and was thinking the same thing! I spent way too long zoomed in and looking at all the glorious detail – heheh.
That very well could be it, though maybe more of a montage? Still would be nice if Abbadon gave us a heads up as to the lateness.
now this is a fortnite moment
