Sword Step style requires perfect balance and supreme reflexes. Its adherents tend to be impulsive, flighty, and swift. Their timing and judgment of distance is generally excellent.
Witness the flight of Eris Lo-Kai’s hairpin. A shame, that. His perfect coiffure will be ruined.
Seeing as how Alison schooled the swordsman with his own sword, we shall call it…Schooling the Swordsman With His Own Sword Style.
(I think we should call it your grave!)
(Aha, curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!)
(Ha ha ha! Mine is an evil laugh! NOW DIE!)
(Oh no, god! Oh dear god in heaven–)
I had thought Eric’s third eye a tattoo before this page, but clearly I was wrong. What does his third eye do? Is it purely cometic or does it see things his regular eyes can’t.
Not what I was expecting, but that’s exactly what makes this so satisfying in so many ways. Looking forward to seeing how the rest of her bouts transpire.
Aaaand, I failed to predict it with all four of my guesses. Al Yisun has impressed me with her thinking under pressure. Well done, this one goes to you.
I guess I was wrong. Looks like Eris Lo-Kai’s sweep has a SUPER punishable -32 recovery on whiff. Kinda makes you wonder why he even threw that out there without bar to cancel into a super.
Allison’s clearly a shoto; she didn’t even need the i-frames from an optimal DP punish and it still resulted in a ring out. That’s what you get for stylin when you’re not familiar with the frame data, boys.
Can’t wait to see a grappler. Allison’s gonna have trouble against command grabs for days.
Hrmm… Hopefully she will make up with her coach after this round. Every Rocky needs a Mick sitting outside the ring shouting tips and encouragement. “Get your guard up”, “Watch his left hook”… “He’s weak to lightning bolts”. Y’know, stuff like that.
67 Force of nature can not be stopped by quivering digits
looks like the fighter stats from 8-80 wont be mentioned again
I think they’re just simple assessments by the pre-tournament referrees to make the matchups more entertaining
maybe technique/speed/strength
I’m not thrilled that contestents in this competition are allowed to use weapons, but I’d be much happier if there is one caveat- the victor in every fight is allowed to claim any 1 item that the loser carried into the ring.
Yes…. yessss. What wall we call this style?

Perhaps “100 Unwelcome Corrections Style”.
K I L L B O S S sends his approval
Did she just use a discipline technique to kick some ass?
White Chain, your student is superb in all the strangest ways.

Well it’s not quite the trigram mantra, but it is certainly a hell of a mantra.
With the right attitude anything can be applied to the battlefield

Happy Feet!
“SHOES! They are like HATS for FEET!”
didn’t expect to see a wombo combo joke here but I ain’t man
how did everyone see the sword walking coming
We see a telegraphed thrust attack, we think “PERILOUS”, and we quickstep forwards.

Best commentary I’ve seen yet, well done!
For full comedic effect, it’s best to imagine the full images of her kicking Eris. With numb arms flopping everywhere.
Seriously, that last panel, between the look on her face and her trailing arms, is just gold.
The floppy arms are the best!

Perhaps I was wrong. I sublime move, if a bit elementary.
See? Scrubs. One lost the use of both her arms in the first few seconds of the fight, and the other just got DQ’d by a chick with no working arms.
Sanji is feeling proud right now.
Turns out being Vatra doesn’t mean you’re a good swordsman.
Insult to injury. Magnificent.

Mikiri Counter !!!
God I hope White Chain was watching that. Smile at your teacher, Alison. Try to relieve some of the tension.

Kinda like Yugioh 😛
i could almost hear the mikiri counter sound.
ding!.. whoosh-stomp!
White Chain is looking on with pride.
That guy got schooled good!
