I am the Sapient Sage Sihba Ve Sæhel. Time is come for me to unveil the one thousand truths and lies I have learned in my sagacious journey.
The first truth is of course that There are infinite truths, and much more lies, and all are achieved by conquest of I, the grand enemy.
This is because no other truth can be shared before one masters the first truth. Contemplate it.
Agreed ! What does this tell us about Solomon’s View of women ?
Is he then an Ultra-Patriarch who will only grant authority to those with two orbs and a scepter attached to them at birth ? It begs the question – just what roles DO women get to play in the Celestial Empire ? Is there an all female badass NINJA Assassin order ? What about Priestesses ? Mages ? Traders ? Artisans ? Guilds ? Ship Captains ?
* Need to find a “Traveler’s Guide to the Celestial Empire” !
*reads rest of comment* Oh…yes…unfortunately, while bureaucracy is theoretically capable of discouraging misogyny in employment, it’s just as capable of enabling it. Something that Allison in particular should watch out for, considering her entire party is composed of females. One wonders if the male fighters have gotten the same terse, brutal treatment that this bureaucrat is giving Allison & co.
It’s surprising, yet not entirely unexpected.
It is quite sensible that Solomon would have there be so much paperwork; were one victor to claim Solomons kingdom, better that they be suited to actually run that kingdom than mere might leading it to another kind of destruction.
It makes sense that the paperwork would be this big. There’s probably a couple of pages there that don’t apply to Allison. No offense, but if she doesn’t have mandibles index 25 isn’t for her, anyway.
Ah, paperwork, I recall a day when this name was a position and not a sobriquet where restless night would be spent filing away forms as to why someone had to die today and not tomorrow. Now I kill and let my subordinates sort it out.
First one, Johannes Cabal the Necromancer. He’s trying to get into hell for a chat with Satan and a bureaucratic dead man wants all the paperwork despite Cabal being alive.
“An’ make sure ye initial all the sub-clauses and codicils. We of the Nac mac Feegle are a simple folk,” he added, “but we write verra comp-lic-ated documents.”

It generates a lot of paperwork in civilized bureaucratic states. In, say, the Ork kingdoms, you get a piece of land, put up a fence, and put a sign on the fence with “BLUD SPORTZ AREENA” crudely daubed in red paint, and Bob’s your decapitated uncle.

Bureaucracy. Builder and Slayer of nations

Bureaucrats.
(And still no sign of any women in a role with any kind of authority within Solomon’s empire…)
Acheron is observant.

You called?

With 4/7 of the Black Emperors being female, maybe Sol D is just trying to apply a little affirmative action.
Well the second qualifier is at the second bell tomorrow. The first is this stack of paperwork right here.
Prepare for battle.
It’s surprising, yet not entirely unexpected.

Ah, yes. The greatest weakness of nascent Royalty:
Paperwork.
It makes sense that the paperwork would be this big. There’s probably a couple of pages there that don’t apply to Allison. No offense, but if she doesn’t have mandibles index 25 isn’t for her, anyway.

I wonder what all those forms could be about?
Hopefully White Chain has been keeping up on Allison’s training with the ultimate martial art, for surely the pen is mightier then the sword.
Not in Sword Law
What, you think there’s no paperwork in hell?!
Clearly the answer is to punch the paperwork out of existence.
Sign Six Billion Waivers
That’s a great one!
I think I read a Johannes Cabal book with this as the opening scene from a different perspective
Do you perchance remember the name of the book?

Paperwork =Hell

before you can fight in the ring, you must first battle…
THE ADMINISTRATION
It occurred to me, late last night, that if Alice lands a hit on Solomon, she’ll be at
4/7 Punch Seven Black Emperors
If she Cuts away who they are, and makes them into someone new, does that give her credit toward Kill Seven Black Emperors?
Copious amounts of paperwork confirm that Solomon’s alignment is lawful-evil.
Those boats (sailing ships) are stuck between the walkways, right? Where do they think they are going?
For all his flaws, one must admit that Solomon David has built a beautiful world…
