Okay, I LOVE the last panel. I love it. What a beautifully done piece of work!
I mean, the whole thing, but that last panel. Whuh.
Can I keep it? Take it home?
I promise to feed it, and stuff.
What is Gog-Agog? Hive minded worms? I have sneaking suspicion that eating a worm and becoming her is more getting eaten from the inside by worms using your body as a breeding ground/shell.
….
I had been under the impression that the clown was a crafted body made specifically for that task.
But now it feels like she just exploded one of her followers from the inside for shits and giggles.
I bet it was consensual , given attitude of her/it/his followers. I would’ve did it. So much shits and giggles to be had !
“Eat the worm ! We have such shits and giggles to show you ! “

Ha ! Majority of Nanotrasen employed population of space station 13 would jump on the offer . On goon servers the would be even fights over who will get the worm , heh 😉
Lo! ’t is a gala night
Within the lonesome latter years!
An angel throng, bewinged, bedight
In veils, and drowned in tears,
Sit in a theatre, to see
A play of hopes and fears,
While the orchestra breathes fitfully
The music of the spheres.
Mimes, in the form of God on high,
Mutter and mumble low,
And hither and thither fly—
Mere puppets they, who come and go
At bidding of vast formless things
That shift the scenery to and fro,
Flapping from out their Condor wings
Invisible Wo!
That motley drama—oh, be sure
It shall not be forgot!
With its Phantom chased for evermore
By a crowd that seize it not,
Through a circle that ever returneth in
To the self-same spot,
And much of Madness, and more of Sin,
And Horror the soul of the plot.
But see, amid the mimic rout,
A crawling shape intrude!
A blood-red thing that writhes from out
The scenic solitude!
It writhes!—it writhes!—with mortal pangs
The mimes become its food,
And seraphs sob at vermin fangs
In human gore imbued.
Out—out are the lights—out all!
And, over each quivering form,
The curtain, a funeral pall,
Comes down with the rush of a storm,
While the angels, all pallid and wan,
Uprising, unveiling, affirm
That the play is the tragedy, “Man,”
And its hero, the Conqueror Worm.
The Queen of Worms is freaking adorable. And now it occurs to me that in in alternate universe they would make a perfect pairing with Incubus. She _is_ behaving pretty much like him, ain’t she? Succubus, so to say :3
She offers servitude first and then an empire. Whatever the price of the empire Gog Agog offers its surely worse than servitude, but only time will tell
Trying the ‘eat this drug and you’ll get an awesome high!’ route first eh?
Though the way she puts it makes it sound absolutely like some sort of drug, just one that permanently takes you over.
Also, I’m curious what servants these tentacle-face guys are that we’ve been seeing over the last few pages. I think we first saw one of their species way back in like, book one in that huge fight, it was the vendor of the noodle place that Maya was at over there.
The worm rules over the inmense power of Distraction. In any universe, the greatest enemy of the sapient is usually not death, but Boredom.
However, this unwise man cannot fathom how exactly the Beast came into power
Gog-Agog’s somewhat simple nature always made me wonder how she was able to become a ruler. Yes her power and immortal nature explained how she claimed rulership, but how was she able to gain followers and subjects? Who would follow such an unstable idiot? The answer to that question is extremely disturbing.
An Empire not earned is not an Empire worth having. The Beast offers first infection and corruption, then ash and sackcloth. Neither of which are a bargain I’d desire to make.
Oh, worm?
I’m reminded a little of Delirium.
And, she really should at least couch the worm in a tequila shot.
Gog, you sure do know how to treat a lady huh
Gotta hand it to Goggles: nothing to date has inspired such a full-body-cringing surge of “NOPE!” as this page.
The worm of a thought in your mind is more dangerous than a worm of the ground.

Time to walk without rhythm.
What the hell do you mean different worm, a worm’s a worm. No, I’m not mixing my references what are you-

Oh wow I really love that expression and lighting of the last panel, Gog-Agog is so pretty and menacing…
When a character offers eating worms and you still like it…Damn I want more
Can I say Gogdaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayum
YOU WILL BE ASSIMILATED.
(Legitimately horrifying though)

Yes, me. Me, me, me.
Dude, Kick her off the ledge, and go back to your card game.

Let us consider servitude and empire. Which is the carrot and which the stick?
Mottom claimed that the two were one and the same.
In many things Nadia Om is an utter fool, but on the nature of Empire, she is perhaps the wisest of the seven.

… and by replying to the wrong comment, my lack of wisdom becomes plain for all to see
You got distracted by the worm too? Well, happens to the best of us.

Yes her power and immortal nature explained how she claimed rulership, but how was she able to gain followers and subjects? Who would follow such an unstable idiot? The answer to that question is extremely disturbing.
Realise this: Gog-Agog has no followers, and no subjects. There is just Gog-Agog. A hundred thousand universes of Gog-Agog.
Or there abouts; what’s a few thousand universes between friends?
Nah. A performer needs an _audience_.
Those who hear voices have neatly solved this requirement and become complete in themselves.
Who would follow ? Well , hello there ! *honks*
Am I disturbing ? *honking intensifies* Am I ?
Gog-Agog has many names, all of them in fact, and “it” won’t stop until it is none.
