KING OF SWORDS 10-152
Chapter: 10
“This hand is not my hand. This sword is not my sword. This self is not myself.. I will lock it in a place far away when I am done with it, and I will examine it when I am ready.”
-Ya’at battle prayer

Solomon takes a single step to the left. White Chain then proceeds to cross-counter herself, destroying her shell and sending her back to whence she came.
After all, only an angel can defeat an angel.
White Chain just wanted to use a style that Soloman can’t copy (probably).
For lo, the sky became dark as ash, and angels descended on wings of flame, and the Wheel stood still.
Does it count as improvisation if she used the same move in front of the same guy less than a day ago?
This is different- she is actually in both places at once.
I am honestly amazed by the amount of smugness radiating off of Solomon in the 5th panel.
Okay, well not amazed; this is Solomon David, but that is certainly a large amount of smugness.
What does the scouter say?
IDK, my scouter broke months ago when I first started reading and got to the introduction of Solomon. His smugness is definitely bigger than two though.
I’d estimate it to be on the order of 10^4?
It’s two. No more than two.
*Holds up 5 fingers from both hands*
Well White Chain, it was nice knowing you.
I have a feeling the fight’s going to be over by the time the lightning manages to hit the ground. Because Solomon Dave is nothing if not the biggest drama queen in Throne.
White Chain and Her Stand [Hallelujah]
Yeah. That’s the good stuff…
Her stand is definitely named [The Chain]
You know, I wonder if the other angels will see this, and decide that the age of contrition and subservience are over… Only Zoss could destroy angels, and he’s not here.
It would be a VERY amusing use of the Key of Kings, to restore angels with haste, rather than to destroy them. There is no reason to assume that it could not be used in such a fashion; It is the power of literal GOD. It would be the thought coursing through my mind, if I were Allison. I would be reflecting in that inner-space, and looking for how that could be arranged.
Zoss didn’t destroy angels. They’re all still there, they’re just taking a very long time to revive.
I’m so proud of White Chain!
FIGHT AND WIN, QUEEN!
Hope is such a sweet drug.
I hope White Chain’s boldness can draw blood before her shell and herself are smashed to bits by what appears to be Solomon’s preparation to unleash ki rata. A single drop of blood, a single chip may be all that is needed to shatter this diamond god.
White chain shall likely lose, yet win. Solomon shall likely win, but lose.
White Chain used Double Team.
It doesn’t seem to be very effective.
Mmmmm idk I love the good sis White Chain but I just don’t think the surprise jab is gonna have the effect we’re hoping for.
Steam rises.
This is axiomatic.
Everybody’s commenting that Solomon dodged this attack but I wonder: if the blow in panel 5 connected and Solomon was stunned, would he appear as in panel 6?
Humans have limiters built-in, as we are physically incapable of using even half of our true power without permanently weakening ourselves with the act.
White Chain must know this. Solomon is a human, even if he is ridiculously powerful. If he fights her with his own true power, he kills himself. White Chain remembered, and Solomon forgot.
What White Chain does doesn’t matter. Now that he agreed, she wins.
It is naive to assume that a demiurge will be undone by something so trivial as the limitations of a normal human body.
I want White Chain manage to boop him so that he has to give up his powers, or else he would lose face and his pride doesn’t allow that. Afterwards he joins the team for mutual protection because he knows that his old enemies will come for him now that he’s a mortal. Antagonists turning into allies is perhaps my favorite trope in writing, and Solomon fits that role really well!
Not bloody likely. It’s beneath Solomon to schlepp around with these bozos. If he loses a drop of blood he’ll go ballistic or break down, he’s built himself up in his own mind entirely too much to lose gracefully.
Huh. The curves on White Chain’s head piece seem to have flipped the other way around.
Also, does she normally have the beginnings of a halo in her spirit form?
Her real plan is to get close enough for it to flip all the way around and grab his head, blinding him.
I suspect Solomon is going to be tricked into an own goal by the end of this fight. Possibly right here and now.
The only thing that can cut a Diamond is a Diamond.
she ded
I was really hoping to see the “unbeatable,” YSUN’s palm mentioned in the Manual of Hands and Feet, but it looks like poor White Chain’s time is up.
“… clever girl”
-jurassic park keeper
The Manual of Hands and Feet has just a small appendix dedicated to knees. They are not very sophisticated but have a very blunt charm to them.
As cool as the move is, the picture makes me tug in my head and brace for the next panel.
Hrmm… Karate-chop to the power cord connecting her spirit to the body?
